Growing curious about the approaches to problems we see in the world around us every day, I found an interest in Economics as a subject to provide a tangible solution to various issues. From here, I began working on my academic writing as a facet to explore certain problems, and thereby co-founded the Lumières club and Journal. My passion in this process of ideating and planning change, to actually acting on it, led me to start my own organization, The Yuva Foundation, and speak about closing the gap between a Keyboard warrior and Change Maker at TEDxTISB.
Hi, my name is Nipun and I study at The International School Bangalore. I am 17 years old and am a passionate supporter of Cricket and Formula 1. Travelling and exploring new places and cultures all around the world is a stress breaker for me and I am actively engaged in the realms of economics and entrepreneurship as I aspire to dive deeper into these fields in the future.
I have always felt the curriculum in school is very occidentally oriented. Being a history buff and having shared thought provoking conversations with Vyom on Indian history and politics, I felt the need to have a more formalized discussion setting. So the Lumiere club was born and with it the journal. I hope this provides a platform for people to write and learn about the political and economic dynamics currently in India and the world and contextually the same with the help of history. Happy reading!
